BOMA's Building Systems Essentials Series - Water Treatment and Fire Protection
The second of this 7 Part Series is an overview of Water Treatment and Fire Protection Systems and will be held on April 16th, 2026.
This series, originally produced in collaboration with Algonquin College, is made up of 7 independent half day modules, delivered by BOMA instructors and offered in continuous rotation.
This module will be held in the BOMA Offices Building, 141 Laurier Avenue West - 6th Floor Conference Centre, room 603
The series has drawn positive reviews from Building Operators who want a refresher on the various topics in the series, as well as from other Commercial Real Estate practitioners that want to get a better sense of how things work in major office buildings. The series is a great place to learn from qualified Algonquin instructors, but it is also a great place to hear from others in the Commercial Real Estate field and share experiences.
The second course of the series combines and overview of Water Treatment and Fire Protection Systems to provide participants with a good understanding of these systems and how they impact the operation and safety of commercial properties. Topics will include:
- Water and Humidification Systems
- Water Treatment
- Water Efficiency
- Chemical Handling

- Exhaust Systems
- Maintenance Procedures & Record Keeping Requirements
