Industry Lunch & Annual General Meeting
Join BOMA Ottawa on Thursday, November 5 at the Rogers Centre Ottawa for our November Industry Lunch and Annual General Meeting.
The day will begin with BOMA Ottawa’s Annual General Meeting at 11:00 a.m., providing members with an update on the Association and the opportunity to conduct the formal business of BOMA Ottawa. This will be our second AGM of 2026, an exceptional occurrence resulting from the Association’s change in fiscal year-end.
Immediately following the AGM, we will transition into our November Industry Lunch, bringing members of Ottawa’s commercial real estate community together for networking, industry conversation and an engaging presentation from our featured guest speaker.
Robotics, Drones & the Future of Commercial Real Estate
Just one example of how emerging technologies will transform building operations, security and the future of commercial real estate.

Guest Speaker: Charles Barlow
CEO, Robotics Centre, Inc.
Robotics, drones and autonomous technologies are rapidly evolving, creating new opportunities for the commercial real estate industry. From enhancing building security and streamlining maintenance to improving emergency response, these innovations have the potential to reshape how commercial properties are managed and operated. Most in the Commercial Real Estate Sector, are not even aware of the use of drones for security already in use the parliamentary precinct.
The presentation will examine how robotics and autonomous systems could improve building inspections, infrastructure assessments, security monitoring and emergency management. Charles will also discuss Ottawa's growing robotics and defence technology sector, including the potential implications for commercial real estate development and demand for specialized facilities.
Looking ahead, we'll explore the opportunities, challenges and regulatory considerations associated with these technologies, and what commercial real estate professionals should be thinking about as innovation continues to accelerate.
Discover how the next generation of technology could influence the buildings we own, operate and manage.
We encourage members to join us for both the AGM and Industry Lunch as we close out an important year for BOMA Ottawa and look ahead to 2027.
